The 1st Annual “The Walk To End Bullying” 2010

On June 12, 2010 a successful rally was held at the Baltimore Recreation Centre. There were numerous children’s games, a silent auction, A.B.I. t-shirt/car decal sales, fire department activities and a free bbq.

The rally and walk was organized by the Northumberland Youth Advisory Council under its Director, Barinder Gill. Participants were addressed by the Warden of the County, Peter Delanty, the Mayor of Hamilton Township, Mark Lovshin, Federal Member of Parliament Rick Norlock and Cst. Denis Grenon from the Port Hope Police.

In spite of all the rain, more than 350 people attended. The rally ended with a walk through adjacent streets led by the Baltimore and Harwood Fire Departments and the O.P.P.

The date for this year’s Rally is June 18, 2011 with a location to be confirmed.
