On June 18, 2011 The Second Annual Walk To End Bullying was held at Victoria Park in Cobourg. There were numerous activities including childrens’ games, a free barbeque, silent auction and a booth selling A.B.I. items.
The Rally and Walk was organized by The Northumberland Youth Advisory Council in conjunction with the A.B.I. Participants were addressed by the Warden of the County, Mark Lovshin, Gil Brocanier, Mayor of Cobourg, Lou Rinaldi, Provincial Member of Parliament, a representative for Rick Norlock, Federal Member of Parliament, Terry Stanley of Cobourg Police and Roy Kempton on behalf of A.B.I.
In spite of good weather, the attendance was down somewhat from last year but a smaller enthusiastic crowd made the walk around Victoria Park.
Musical entertainment for the event was provided by The Mark Hanson Band.
The Kempton family wishes to express special thanks to Jamie Simmons for his enthusiasm and hard work in the weeks leading up to the event.
